A Brazilian-born American handbag and accessories designer, is renowned for his innovative patchwork designs. In the 1970s, Falchi embarked on his career in Greenwich Village, NYC.


While honing his craft, he worked as a busboy at Max’s Kansas City, where his neighbor happened to be the legendary Jimi Hendrix. His early clientele included rockers and jazz artists.

Geraldine Stutz, the visionary behind Henri Bendel stores, played a pivotal role in catapulting Falchi to prominence. His designs gained widespread acclaim, propelling him to early success.

Falchi’s bags, often soft and unstructured, feature luxurious skins like python, alligator, and ostrich. The latest collection introduces an array of bags, spanning from just under $1,000 to over $10,000 for collaborative pieces.

Marcos Falchi, Carlos’s brother, steps into the design role, carrying forward the legacy of his late older brother. In the spirit of Carlos Falchi, Marcos infuses artistry and innovation into the brand’s creations.

His expertise quickly earned him a reputation as a leading international leather expert.

In 1976 together with his brother Carlos Falchi , they founded the brand in the namesake of Carlos. Their innovative designs and high-quality craftsmanship soon made them a worldwide sensation.

Their designs have been featured in prestigious fashion magazines and worn by numerous celebrities, including Madonna, Tina Turner, and Cher. Their work has been showcased in major fashion capitals such as New York, Paris, and Tokyo.

After the passing of his brother Carlos in 2015, Marcos returned to his hometown in Brazil, where he continued to craft bags for many celebrities.

Encouraged by a friend, Marcos eventually returned to New York in 2024, where he established the design and manufacturing studio in Harlem to reintroduce his renowned art form to the public.

The brand is also known for its philanthropic efforts, supporting various charities and initiatives aimed at preserving traditional leather crafting techniques and promoting sustainable fashion practices.
